Alcea is a genus of about 60 species of flowering plants in the mallow family Malvaceae, commonly known as the hollyhocks. They are native to Asia and Europe.

The leaves and petals of Alcea flowers can be used in the form of herbal tea that is very useful for the treatment of various diseases such as colds, sore throats and other respiratory problems.

Also, it can be remarkably effective for losing weight and treating cancer.

Moreover, it can be used in the form of baths, which is against dry inflammatory skin, eczema, psoriasis, insect bites, hemorrhoids, boils, eczema and itching.
